Painting and Quilting Together Quilt

I quilted this quilt a few years ago in a challenge for my long arm guild. It is a whole cloth quilt, 40x40 inches. I used a double batting, 80/20 plus a polyester fat batting to create the trapunto look.

I used acrylic paints and inktense crayons to paint the cloth when it was done. I then added beads, a few lady bugs, some sparkles and a lovely dragonfly brooch from my dear friend.

My quilting skills are better than my painting but for a first attempt I think it came out pretty good.

It has been in my studio for a while but will now be in my living room to add some colour to the space.

I hope you enjoy this quilt as much as I do.
